You gotta feel the love

This is another piece that Lorie dragged in, but can't you just see crystal knobs gracing the pastels of this piece. It is an old mahogany chest of drawers and it weighs in at one ton...according to our backs and fingers that won't bend back to normal. The fun thing about these funky pieces is they make such a statement in your settings that you forget that it is a crappy piece of furniture that should've gone to the curb...which is where we would have grabbed it, having caught sight of it out the corner of our eye. That keen sense of smell we have for curbside trash...it is an art form you know, takes years of careful crafting (and stealth-like vehicular driving) to score a piece. Lorie and I were driving in the alley behind the shop the other day and she screamed "STOP...BLUE SHUTTER"...after my heart went back down the gullet, I pulled the truck over and scored on a pale OLD aqua shutter. With a crazed look in her eye she screams" where's the other one...there has to be two"...at this point, it is like dealing with a woman in labor...calm down, BREATHE...another day on the job.
