Went shoppin' today and boy did I score...can you believe those huge, old gold mirror frames, oh yeah. The cute little chair already stripped with no finish left, the red velvet Victorian chair that I will find very hard to part with. How about the big mirror, the mercury backing is crumbling in just the right places and the great floral prints, hand-painted too. What a score!!! Ran into Barb, from Sisters' too at the same haunt and she suggested I paint all the frames and the mirror white, because of all the damage to them. I love the old gold patina, but then again, I am selling them and the odds of them buying them white is far greater than like they are...my decaying mansion style (crusty)...so what do YOU think...natural (crusty) or white. I'll post a picture of the finished products tomorrow.

Yes, you did score! Pop over to my blog - I have a Blog in Bloom Award for you.
The red velvet Victorian chair is my winner! Love trotting along with your shopping sprees! Totally delightful!
And the mirrors! I think I would prefer some kind of antiquey look ~ not white!
Major haul! Good goin'!
The two big gold mirror on the right I would leave as is...they are fab!
Girl you know I love the gold frames as is, but if they won't sell that way, you gatta do what you gatta do!! The chair would look great in you house.

How about a bit of both? Just enough white to let some of the gold show through..?? You did find some great things - good for you! Isn't it hard for you to let some of your "finds" go?? Hmmm..business can be hard, huh?

You did good. On the mirror, I vote for white. I absolutely love the white, chippy look.
You posted a note on my blog this morning and somehow I lost it. I apologize. I'd tell you it was because it is a frantic Monday morning but (or brighter) on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm sorry, I hate that I did that and I don't know how I did that. Anyway I remembered your comment and answered it.

Now, I have had a close up look and must say I love 'em as is. For sale though...I'm thinking white is the new gold! Love your finds, keep sharing 'cos I shop vicariously with you!...Love Pam

And those frames are to die for!
If it was me I'd keep em as is but to sell you are right they'd go faster if they were shabby white or pink!
I want to come shopping at your house!
